After effects 3d drop shadow4/14/2024 ![]() ![]() ![]() This removes the unsightly fringe which can occur, especially on rotated or non-rectilinear objects. After selecting the object (photo), contract the selection slightly (1 pixel is usually enough) before applying the shadow.PSP automatically links the shadow layer with it's object layer so that they stay together if moved across the canvas, whilst still being editable individually. Changing the layer blend mode is also useful on textured or patterned backgrounds to give a more realistic look. With the shadow on a separate layer you can alter the layer opacity to increase or decrease the intensity of the shadow. This way you can also have several different shadows for any object to simulate multiple light sources or simply to choose different ones for your project. You will then be able to modify the shadow later. Use the Blur and Opacity controls to get a softer, more realistic shadow.You have obviously found the drop shadow dialogue box but here are a few tips to refine the effect. it is perfect, you can change the color of the shadow, the width and lenght, great! Yes, thank you renee, and the drop shadow is in photoshop or corel, i have both, but i prefer corel all the time. Go up to effects, 3D effects, Drop Shadow. add photo as a new layer then promote your photo layer to a raster layer. One way is to use a texture.like a paper page.
